January 02 Update - 02/01/09 Haven't posted on here in some time and I really need to start again.... Anyway, got promoted to ASM at Gamestation Birmingham New St and had an extremely hectic Christmas period. Back at work tomorrow with loads to do (as usual) so I'll post some more when I get chance. Mark Oh and I'm currently playing E4, Fable 3 Pub Games and Trying to beat Area 3 on Rez :) August 26 PES Grand Final WeekendIt's that time of year again when the top PES players in the UK gather together in London to compete to be crowned UK PESRankings Champion. I'm going to be there again for the 3rd year in a row, unfortunately not as a player!! It does mean I've got to get up at about 5am on Sunday to get there on time but it'll be a great day out as always. Before then though I'll get to play Too Human and maybe Tiger Woods 09. Although this will be changing when I move house in a few weeks time  March 28 COD4 Boot CampI finally made it, I'm no doubt going to be battered as I've never played it in multiplayer before!! All else fails I'll go back to playing on my DS I think.... March 25 SWOS Event - UpdateBasically, the event never got off the ground.
People drifted away from SWOS as a result of the poor online code.
Oh well, I've finally been bothered to play PES2008 online on 360 and it's not as bad as people made out  January 10 Farrmark SWOS InvitationalToday begins the first ever Farrmark SWOS Invitational.
The following players have signed up on the PESFan forums and will compete in a Club Team League over the next 2 months.
At the start of February there will be a cup draw and a knockout will also be played alongside the league fixtures. Should this prove successful then I'll expand the format for March and April. Have fun guys November 29 Work UpdateWow, can't believe it's been 8 weeks since my last post!! Been working my arse off at Gamestation and now I have a full time contract as Senior Sales Assistant. However, I also have an interview for another job next week which I hope I get offered as it'd be a great opportunity to get into one of the largest, fastest growing games companies in the UK. Fingers crossed for that one September 24 Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 With the impending launch of Halo 3 on WEdnesday 26th September, I've finally decided to play Halo and Halo 2 so I know what the hell's going on in Halo 3!!
I'm actually much more impressed with Halo now than I was before when I played in a few years ago.
I'm about halfway through Halo and I expect to have completed both by the weekend.
Then I can get on with Halo 3 and some of that sweet 4 player co-operative mode  September 20 Job situationJust a note to confirm that the job situation is sorted, I'm being promotoed to Senior Sales at Gamestation, subject to completing my workbook and signoff by the manager. Really enjoying it and we've got some fun coming up next week for the Halo 3 launch too!! On another note, I got myself a nice shiny new Samsung TV/Monitor for my Xbox 360 and PC. Cost me only £250 from Argos (reduced from £400) and it'll accept a 1080p input but scales it slightly to fit the 1680*1050 screen. By my reckoning that's only a loss of 7200 pixels, which ia barely noticable on a 22" screen!! August 28 Track and Field, BioShock and Blue DragonI finally got 100% (200/200) on Track and Field and I'm finding it suprisingly easy now to waltz through the game 4/5 times in a row. Also I picked up BioShock and Blue Dragon at the weekend and both games are amazing. Blue Dragon is the RPG I've been waiting ages for and BioShock is just superb in every respect. It's just a shame I'm too tired to play anything at the moment!! Oh, and Helen, I've got you some Rock  August 22 Bioshock Collectors EditionGot my hands on the Bioshock Collectors Edition today and very nice it is too!! No broken Big Daddy figurines for me  Shame I won't have an Xbox to play it on until Friday  August 21 Broken Xbox again!!I'm not in a happy mood. Switched on my 360 last night and it wouldn't eject anything. Luckily there's no disc stuck in it, however I've returned it and got credit to put towards an Elite on Friday. Main problem is that I've got 44 XBLA games to redownload and all my game saves have been lost, those that I couldn't fit on my MU anyway. Should be a fun Friday evening with all this downloading and playing Bioshock too!! I've had my hands on the Collectors Edition and it's very smart with a great Big Daddy figure and bonus content too. My desk looks soooooo empty without a 360 on it August 18 Track and FieldWhat can I say, this game has me hooked at the minute!! So simple, yet so addictive.... I'm currently sitting pretty atop my Friends Leaderboard with over 300K, plus this evening I managed to finish the achievements by hurling the hammer a huge 96.39m  Waiting for Bioshock next week now. July 25 Wing Commander, Bomberman and Gyruss!!Been a while again..... Job's still not sorted. I'm working part time at Gamestation (although probably doing 30+ hrs week in August). Oscar's under the weather today, he's got a really snotty nose and he didn't have any energy to run around the room like he normally does. I traded in a load of games and old accessories recently and got myself the Transformers game (mediocre) and Harry Potter (excellent, but easy) and 2100 MS Points. Decided to spend these on Wing Commander Arena (great), Bomberman Live (fantastic) and save the rest for SWOS at the end of August. On a strange note, I tried by old Gyruss code (from Mission 7500) and it worked!! So I've added the retro turd that is Gyruss to my XBLA games as well. Trialled PAC-Man C.E. earlier too and I loved it. I may be spending some more points very soon..... On thursday 5th July 2007 at 11am until late afternoon I will be playing Sensible World of Soccer on Xbox Live Arcade at the Codemasters VIP SWOS event in London Today tried to ruin it for me though, the original email inviting me was in my Junk folder and I saw the reminder this evening...... In case you missed that, I'll be playing: SENSIBLE WORLD OF SOCCER ON XBOX LIVE ARCADE How cool is that!! Oh and I'll be getting to and from London for a grand total of £11 June 12 About time I posted more often!!It's been a while since I updated this page so here goes:

Have fun everyone May 29 Retirement and ApologyI've decided that I'm retiring from this Gamerscore Whoring as I'm losing sight of why I enjoy gaming so much in the first place..... I came to this decision as I desperately tried to get Fie to help me get the Penalty Shot achievement in NHL 2K6 last night, I ended up shouting at the Xbox (which she thought was at her!!), then when I finally got the Penalty Shot she saved it because she didn't listen to me!! Second time though she listened and got the Goaltender out the way so I got my 250pts. However, she then stormed off to bed stating that she'd never help me again!! Anyway, I'm now going to play EDF 2017 and Bullet Witch because they're great fun and then I'm going to set about trying to complete the 38 XBLA games I have on my HDD, before I buy another. although Mad Tracks does look tempting..... Also, I'd like to apologise to Mel for forgetting her Stick of Rock  May 15 Time flies when you're having fun!!!It's been over a week since I posted anything on here so I thought it was about time I wrote something
 I had a fun bank holiday week dosed up on Antibiotics thanks to a dose of tonsillitis ( I still have them BTW). Oscar still hasn't started Nursey as he had a bad throat and was quite poorly too. He'll be starting in June now I think.
Then I went to work at Gamestation on Saturday to find that the uniform had changed and that I was the only one wearing the old polo shirt

 I did get Open Season from work though and I managed to get the 1000 Gamerscore from it in about 3 sessions of an hour and a half each
 Must decide what else I'm going to get this weekend.......

Oh, apart from moaning about how Aegis Wing is only being made available to North American subscribers tomorrow even though it's a game developed internally by Microsoft and therefore should have no licensing issues associated with it's distribution........... |
